PressureKept Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-08

PressureKept ("the app", "we") is a blood-pressure log built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data. It is written to be honest and plain, not to be long.

The short version

PressureKept does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your health data, and we run no server of our own. Everything you enter stays on your device unless you choose to turn on backup.

What data the app stores

Your blood-pressure readings (systolic, diastolic, pulse, time, arm, position, notes) and profiles are stored only in an encrypted database on your device. We never see this data. By default it is never uploaded anywhere — PressureKept has no server and requires no account.

Optional backup (only if you turn it on)

Data we do NOT collect

Optional diagnostics (off by default)

Settings → Help improve the app is off unless you turn it on. If you enable it, the app sends anonymous crash reports and basic usage events (e.g. "a reading was logged" — never the values, never who you are) to our own self-hosted server. No third-party analytics, no advertising, never sold. You can turn it off any time.

Notifications

Measurement reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing is sent through a server.

Exports you choose to share

If you use the Pro PDF/CSV report, the file is created on your device and shared only through the share sheet you explicitly invoke (e.g. to email it to your doctor). We are not involved in that transfer.

Purchases

Optional Pro features are sold through the Apple App Store / Google Play (via RevenueCat). Those platforms process the payment; PressureKept never sees your payment details.

Not a medical device

PressureKept records readings you take with your own cuff and shows standard AHA-style category labels for information only. It does not diagnose, treat, or measure blood pressure, and is not a medical device. Always consult your doctor.

Children

PressureKept is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
